Prayer Team

Our prayer team is comprised of a small group of prayer warriors who are committed to praying over all the individuals whose lives are touched by the work of Family for Life.

Friends for life support groups

Each of our foster families need individualized encouragement, prayers, and support from friends dedicated to loving them and their children through the ups and downs. By responding to weekly prayer requests, providing occasional home-cooked meals, or offering support in other creative ways, these groups help remind our families they are not alone in their journey.

Mentoring and Skills Training

If you feel called to minister to children in foster care or their families in a unique and effective way, our mentoring program may be where you fit.

Children of all ages need special people in their life to take them to eat ice cream, spend a day at the zoo, listen to their stories, and contribute to their self-confidence. Some may be interested in learning to sew, cook, paint, or create a workout regimen. Whether you have a skill to teach or a board game to play, you can help a child feel important and loved.

The biological parents of the children placed in Family for Life foster homes also need friendship and support from someone who can offer guidance or simply a listening ear. Teaching how to navigate computer programs, create a budget, cook healthy meals, or sew a blanket are just a few of the ways you can contribute to the confidence of a parent and the healing of a family.

Legacy Family Network

The Legacy Family Network is a non-profit organization with a mission to support children in foster care by uniting together with the families that take care of them. They believe that not everyone is called to foster, but everyone can do something. The Legacy Family Network partners with churches and individuals in the community to develop a dedicated team of people willing to invest in the lives of children and families affected by abuse and trauma.

The Legacy Family Network provides numerous ways for volunteers to impact lives by sharing their time, skills, and resources. Visit their website to learn more about how you can serve children and foster families in your community!
